About Us

Warwickshire Vision Support provides both statutory rehabilitation services and voluntary support services to blind and partially sighted people in Warwickshire.

Our mission is help people to build and maintain independence and control over their lives and to reduce the level of social isolation that they may experience.

The Rehabilitation Service supports people who have recently lost their sight and require new skills for independent living or who may be experiencing life changes that necessitate additional support and training.

To supplement this service, we offer a wide variety of voluntary social support groups and services.  These groups seek to improve the quality of life of our members and ensure that they are best placed to access the latest information, the most modern equipment and perhaps most importantly, are able to develop a wider network of friends and contacts.

In order to achieve our goals, we employ a small team of dedicated professionals who are responsible for providing the professional rehabilitation service and for coordinating and supporting our volunteer-led social activities.

Serving more than 3,000 people with the support of over 230 volunteers Warwickshire Vision Support is able to make a significant contribution to promoting the interests of people living with sight loss and helping them to develop the skills and resources to lead fulfilled and independent lives.
