Vision Support Centres

Support centres

Our Vision Support Centres were established to meet your need for local access to equipment and information in your community.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served and a minimum donation of £1 towards the centre operating costs is requested at our welcome desk on arrival.

Our staff and attendees can’t wait to welcome you!

Regular presentations of services in your area as well as displays of products for people with visual impairment

Magnifier Sessions to help you identify the most appropriate magnifier for your condition – by appointment

IT Training – assistance with setting up and using your existing phone or tablet in the best way to suit you. If you are thinking of purchasing a device, we have a selection of phones and tablets to try – by appointment


Weekly support centres

The weekly centres are now fully open, appointments are no longer necessary except for IT and Magnifiers. Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be registered as visually impaired to join us. If you, or a friend or relative have a sight condition and you wish to obtain information or advice, please do come along!

Centres are open every week except public holidays and WVS Christmas shutdown.
