Volunteering

Warwickshire Vision Support is extremely proud of it's dedicated team of volunteers.

With more than 230 individuals regularly committing their time and skills, we are able to provide a comprehensive service to our members.  Our flexible approach enables you to chose when to volunteer and how many hours you wish to contribute.  Whether it is a couple of hours a month or a couple of hours each day, we would love to hear from you.

We will help you with transport money so that you will not be out of pocket (currently .45 pence per mile).  We are committed to supporting all of our volunteers and will provide role specific training where necessary.  All volunteers will be provided with details of our policies and procedures.  The training which we provide includes:  Sight Loss Awareness, Safeguarding, First Aid, Moving People and Lone Working.

Our wide range of services offer many different volunteer opportunities so if you are interested in any of the following areas, please follow the link to find out more:

Volunteers who wish to support our Home/Reader Visitor Service or whose volunteering will be in an unsupervised environment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check in accordance with our policies and procedures.

You can download our latest Volunteer Newsletter and the Volunteer Induction pack below.  Also available to download is our Warwickshire Vision Summer Edition.  This edition of our magazine highlights the fabulous work that all of our volunteers do daily.  It also details the awards which we have given out across the county, which includes long service.
