The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Eye Health and Visual Impairment

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Eye Health and Visual Impairment is gathering evidence for the Inquiry as follows:

  • Stage 1: a review of relevant published UK and international evidence

  • Stage 2: this Call for Evidence supplemented by meetings and interviews with stakeholders to help ensure we gather comprehensive evidence

  • Stage 3: Oral Evidence sessions.

With the exception of patients and their families and other areas of health policy, responses can be submitted by email to APPGinquiry@rnib.org.uk.  Alternatively, you can send a hard copy of your response to the APPG Eye Health Inquiry Officer, APPG Inquiry Secretariat , First Floor, 105 Judd Street, London WC1H 9NE.

The APPG Inquiry survey for patients is for people who have received treatment within the last three years (not including the routine provision of glasses or contact lenses) to hear about their experiences of eye care services in England (both positive and negative experiences). Have your say and complete the patient survey

If you would prefer to take part in this survey over the phone please contact the campaigns hotline on 020 7391 2123 to leave your name and contact number with one of team for a call back.

The patient survey will close on 20 October 2017.

For other areas of health policy we will seek to interview respondents on three-to-four areas that have been identified as priorities in the NHS Mandate and ‘Five Year Forward View’.

If you want to request the Call for Evidence in an alternative format you can contact the APPG Eye Health Inquiry Officer by telephone on 020 7391 3268 or email APPGinquiry@rnib.org.uk.

With the exception of patients, the deadline for giving written evidence is 29 September 2017.

Please note the Inquiry will publish submissions from persons and organisations as part of the evidence it receives, unless you specifically request us not to. Where a person or organisation has stated that they want their written evidence to be anonymous, it will be published under the title anonymous.
