Try a Triathlon!

British Blind Sport are an official charity friend of the Superhero Tri Series and we are looking to enter teams! This is the UK’s one and only disability sports series for the “every day hero”, their family and friends. We want to recruit runners, swimmers and keen cyclists to each tackle one element of the challenge, completing the triathlon together as a team! No experience necessary.

The event will take place on 19th August 2017 at Dorney Lake, Windsor and the Celebrity Superhero Tri will have 30 well known Paralympians and celebrities as Team Captains!

Here's how to get involved:

•   Team up: register your interest to enter as part of a BBS team, tell us whether you would like to run, cycle or swim. Friends and family members also welcome.

•   Grab a Sidekick:  This is a world first! A unique chance to tow a friend or loved one in the water and push/pull them around the bike and run stages.

•   Fly solo: For those participants who want to do all 3 stages as an individual.

Select your event, there are three epic distances:

•   Sprint Superhero Tri: 150m swim; 3k cycle and 1km run

•   Half Superhero Tri: 400m swim; 10k cycle and 2.5km run

Educational Resources Review - We want to hear from you!

Here at BBS we are keen to ensure that all of the advice and guidance we provide is useful.

We are looking to assess the impact of our Education Resources.  We want to know how useful and helpful they have been, and how they could be improved. We have a number of guides that we have developed which offer sport specific and generic advice on how to improve and adapt activities to ensure that they are more suitable for people with a visual impairment.  These guides are available to download from our website http://www.britishblindsport.org.uk/education and hard copies were shared with relevant parties when they were first released.

Have you read any of these guides?  Have you used them to adapt your practice?  If so, we are keen to hear from you.  We are looking for people to take part in a 30-40 min telephone interview in order to identify how useful the guides have been. Each participant will receive £20 as a thank you for their time.
