A-Z of surviving the Lock-down

As the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic continues, many of you will have been advised by the government to isolate at home for a longer period than others, namely those with some underlying health conditions as well as those who are over the age of 70. 

Lockdown is not a punishment, so here are a few ideas of what to do with all that time on your hands.

WVS suspends Clubs and Support Centres

As you will be aware the country is experiencing the effects of a new virus called ‘Coronavirus – COVID 19’.  This virus is similar to flu and mimics many of the symptoms including; increased temperature, cough and respiratory issues.  Warwickshire Vision Support have been monitoring the situation.  We are linked to the Warwickshire Department of Public Health for guidance.  For those of you that have attended our support centres this past week you probably have been given hand sanitiser and advised on more vigorous hand washing.

Invitation to General Meeting

The Board of Trustees has been looking at how we can engage more with our service users to develop our activities and improve the support we provide to you.

As part of this process, we will be holding a General Meeting:

Date:       Friday 18 October 2019

Venue:    Sydni Centre, Cottage Square, Sydenham, Leamington Spa CV31 1PT

Time:      12 noon until 4pm

The meeting will be divided into two sessions.

Job Title:                  Assistant Fundraising Officer

Location:                  Warwickshire Vision Support, 5 Charles Court, Budbrooke Road, Warwick, CV34 5LZ

Line Manager:         Fundraising Officer

Salary:                       £18,250 (35 hours pw) (18 hours £9,385 pro rata) (15 hours £7,821)

Hours of Work:       15 - 18 hours per week over 3 days.  Flexible evening and weekend working as necessary.
