Vision Support Centres
(16 December 2021 12:00 am)
The Warwickshire Vision Support Centres reopened in the summer and our service users have been enjoying seeing their friends and making new friends after all the lock downs. IT and magnifier appointments have been taking place and advice, help and guidance provided to both new and existing service users. With restrictions lifting we have managed to get several speakers to visit and talk about personal safety, fire safety, Stratford talking news and Lifeline services. We are planning an increased program of speakers in the new year.
This week we have been having Christmas parties at the Vision Support Centres with Christmas food supplied by local supermarkets and businesses. Our guests have enjoyed Christmas quizzes and music as well as the generous spread of food, thank you to the generosity of the suppliers and the volunteers for helping make the events enjoyable for all.
We’ve had a number of cards and letters that speak for themselves:
“Your hard work brings light into the hearts and minds of all you help” - John
“Thank you for everything – your hard work, always a smile, nothing too much trouble. Tuesday mornings are a real treat and pleasure to be part of.” - Phyllis
The Vision Support Centres will be closed from Monday 20th December to Monday 3rd January inclusive, reopening at Stratford upon Avon and Southam on Tuesday 4th January, COVID restrictions permitting.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year from the Warwickshire Vision Support Centre Staff.
